We’re back with a new edition of the EMMA4EU newsletter, an initiative co-funded by the European Commission to tackle embedded deforestation by connecting higher education institutions, businesses, and NGOs, while creating new opportunities for capacity building, training, and knowledge sharing.

Which role is responsible for managing forest-risk commodities and ensuring compliance with the EUDR?

Over the past few months, we have been designing EMMA4EUPro, a new specialisation school dedicated to developing the professional role of the Deforestation-Free Supply Chain Manager. And we are finally in class!

From August 25 to September 19, 25 selected students are participating in our four-week programme. Hosted by the University of Padova, Italy, participants will attend inspiring lectures from leading professors and professionals, join field trips to Italian companies, work in groups, attend seminars, and take part in hands-on workshops.
